Our
Story
maatrio brings authentic Kerala sarees — kasavu sarees, settu mundu, and wedding designs — straight to your home.
Crafted Across Generations
Our journey began more than a century ago in Kerala. What started as a family's craft has grown into a community of artisans keeping the tradition of kasavu alive — one saree at a time.
Every piece we sell is crafted from 100% organic cotton, finished with genuine golden kasavu borders, and made the same way our grandparents made them. No shortcuts. Just patient hands and generations of skill.
Handmade, Always
Every saree is crafted with precision. Each one carries the small, beautiful marks of the human hands that made it.
Fair to Artisans
We work directly with artisan families across Kerala, paying fair prices so this craft can support the next generation.
Pure & Natural
Organic cotton, natural dyes, and genuine gold-plated kasavu. Nothing synthetic touches your skin.
Spinning
Organic cotton is spun into fine yarn, soft enough for Kerala's warm days.
Dyeing
Yarns are dyed with natural colours and sun-dried in open courtyards.
Crafting
Master artisans craft the details for days, tying golden kasavu into every border.
Finishing
Each saree is inspected, folded with care, and packed in our signature garment box.
"A kasavu saree is not just clothing. It is a memory you wear — of Onam mornings, temple visits, and weddings past."
— The maatrio Family
